    Still haven't gotten the network problems solved.  It's been a bigger pain in the ass than I've imagined.  It's holding back a few other releases that are almost ready to be released.

    On the positive side: There's a new package of IMs!  This IM package, "CUMental", was developed by Patrick 'Mental' Freeman and is available at The Mutation Station.  Mental has also developed a large number of other great mutators such as CTFAlive, AntiCamper, and HelpingHand among others.  Cosmic was created to be enhanced by other developers with a complete plugin architecture.  Its good to see other developers are beginning to harnessing its power.  Check out CUMental at www.Planetunreal.com/MutationStation

    A new version of CUOrig16 is out.  Basically a few bug fixes, and some enhancements to make it more compatible with CU V300.  Freeze, Poison, and Void are more stable, and Reincarnator has been updated.

    What many have been waiting for:  The Multi IM package.

    This package will allow you to play multiple IMs at the same time.  That's right: Yellow and Poison, or  Redeemer Weapon Expert and ArmsDealer or Peacock and Fly.  Eight Multi IMs are provided, each can have up to 3 IM powers.  This package is a definite download.

    There seems to be some problems with the FTP server, if your are trying to download one of the other IM packages.  Until the problem is resolved click these links:  Orig16, Generic, Dark, Teamplay, WeaponExpert, Four, and SplitPea.

    OK OK OK.  It's been a while.  For your patience: Here's Cosmic V300.

    Some of you may be disapointed, but being able to assign a mesh/skin to an IM has been removed.  There was no way of getting it to work easily without creating a whole Cosmic gametype, and I wanted to keep Cosmic a simple mutator.  The only other possible semi-solution would be to map mesh/skins to IMs.  This way your IM would be selected based on the skin of the player.  However this just isn't as flexible as changing the mesh based on the IM.

    All other features should be working.  

    And Cosmic Unreal should also be available in Spanish, Finnish and Italian.  Thanks goes to Jim(jimpol3@hotmail.com), Iiro Lempinen (lempinen@koti.tpo.fi), and Major Disaster (mdisaster@ngi.it).  Other languages will appear in future releases. 

    And I promise that the Multi IM will be out in 2 days!  Promise.

    It appears that the Message Board is now back up and working.

    The new MultiIM for Beta V299 will be out in a couple days.  That's right - Multiple IMs per player.  Featuring full save/load support.

    The server for the message board appears to be full.  My host, PlanetUnreal, is looking into it now, and hopefully the problem will be cleared up shortly.  Until then, don't bother posting new messages because they won't show up.

    I'm back.

    Shhh!  There's a Beta Release: Cosmic V299

    -This has NOT yet been multi-player tested.

    -There are problems with the following IMs: Void, Poison, Freeze, and Magnet. They work but the UT server will crash when changing levels or starting a new game.

    -If you change the mesh/skin for an IM some animations will not be correct, deaths in particular.

    -This is a BETA.  It has bugs.  V420 of UT recomended.  Other version have not been tested.

    -There is sometimes an error message when exiting UT.

    -Multiple Power IMs will be released in a few days.

    -Add or View bugs on the BugList Message Board.

    -Be sure you have some Individuals or this mutator will do nothing. Individuals from Cosmic Unreal V200 will work and you do not need to re-install them.

    Bad News.  I've been called off to the other side of the country for a week.  I've debated about releasing the Beta as it currently stands,  unfortunatly there are a couple of bugs that are refusing to die.  Plus, since I will not be around to support and fix any problems that may occur, I have decided to release the Beta sometime next week.

    The beta of Cosmic V300 is about to be released.  It includes the following new features:

  • Multiple IMs per player
  • Choose your IM when entering a game
  • Assign Alternate Models, Skins and Names to IM Characters
  • Save, Restore, and Trade Cosmic Setups
  • New CosmicFire button for IMs to use
  • Support for Multiple Languages
  • Compatible with the current group of 55+ IMs
  •     + Other soon to arrive features...including Cosmic Relics, and IM's with Experience.
